  • Mike M. Murders the Competition in Tournament #19

How quickly things can change in one tournament, for the player going from life support to the win (Mike M. “is for Murder”), the player that skipped the biggest game in Ragged Aces history when leading the Player of the Year (PoY) race (Tyler “WalMart”) to find himself in 4th place 10 behind the leader,  and the player that was in 7th place ...

  • 2009 Ragged Aces Schedule to include WSOP satellite, HORSE, and Heads-up Tournament

There are a number of changes I'd like to make to the schedule of games in the 2009 season which starts July 19th.  First, I'm planning on making the New Years HORSE tournament a fixture to the schedule.  I think it needs a little tweaking from last year in that we should start a bit earlier and have each of the games ...

  • RAWSOP Game is now the Big Ace Tournament

Without a broad enough interest in sending someone to the World Series of Poker, we now have an opportunity to play a larger buy-in tournament.  That game is the Ragged Aces Big Ace (RABA) tournament.  Buy-in is $100 with the top three finishers getting a portion of the purse.  For more details, see the RAWSOP ...

  • Re: Ragged Aces First Annual WSOP Tournament

I will play at Level A ($300) or any other level that we get to send someone to the WSOP.  Christine would play at the $100 level.

  • Ragged Aces First Annual WSOP Tournament

This is the first annual WSOP Tournament where we send the winner to Las Vegas to play in the $1500 WSOP Event #3 (No Limit Hold'em)   So far, interest has been high with some players and not so much with others.  I need to determine the real interest in the RAWSOP for 2008, I need to know how many people are really interested in ...

  • Imagine the Possibilities of a Ragged Ace at the WSOP

It was a rollercoaster ride playing against 24 players that you had gotten to know fairly well over the last couple of years.  All of you, Ragged Aces, but only one was going to win the biggest prize the group had played for, entry into a World Series of Poker preliminary event.  The added pressure of a buy-in five times larger than the ...

  • Re: The Tulalip Casino is hosting WSOP Satellites

Well...I wussed out I was feeling a bit anxious about putting up $150 in a tournament structure I had never played before.  I've been on a down game this month (though I'm finally turning it around).  And since nobody else was going to go...I decided to blow this one off *shrug*. I need to build a bigger bank roll so $150 isn't a ...

  • Re: The Tulalip Casino is hosting WSOP Satellites

I just sent out an email to everyone regarding this tournament: Basically, it is a World Series of Poker satellite with a $150 buy-in, top 15 places paid with 1st place winning $10,000 guaranteed (the buy-in for the WSOP).  It starts at 11am on Sunday (March 25th).  Post a message on the above thread if you are planning on going and we ...

  • The Tulalip Casino is hosting WSOP Satellites

I was thinking of going to the Tulalip on March 25th to play in the WSOP satellite $150 buy-in game.  Anyone interested in joining me?  Might be fun, and one of us might win a seat at the WSOP! It looks like they also have WSOP satellite games every Saturday for $90.  We could even try one of those at some point ...
