The season finished with a big bang as usual with a record number of players playing in our all-day BBQ championship (25). This is the first year we didn't have a single empty seat for this big game and I want to thank everyone who participated.
It was an amazing day that saw the top four seeds at the begining of the tournament ...

We're in the home stretch for the end of year awards...ONE GAME TO GO!
Player of the Year
The PoY has been a battle all season between three main contenders, Clark, Nick, and Joe. However, John, Abi, and Christine have been in the thick of things and have made the race very interesting going into the final game of the season. ...

The last three tournaments in the Hangar we've seen Jordan grab 2nd (for his first chip as a Ragged Ace), 1st place in the biggest buy-in tournament we've ever had (the Big Ace tournament), and 1st place in our 21st game of the year against a field of 16 (May 17th). The majority of the 9 players present wanted to combine to a single table but in an interesting switch, one lone voice talked everyone into playing two tables of 5 (John was expected to be late). No sooner ...

Without a broad enough interest in sending someone to the World Series of Poker, we now have an opportunity to play a larger buy-in tournament. That game is the Ragged Aces Big Ace (RABA) tournament. Buy-in is $100 with the top three finishers getting a portion of the purse. For more details, see the RAWSOP ...

After sending out a poll message and compiling the results (as of today), the interest looks to be as follows:
Willing to buy-in for $300: 2 (need 8)
$250: 0 + 2 = 2 (need 10)
$200: 4 + 2 = 6 (need 12)
$150: 1 + 6 = 7 (need 16)
$100: 0 + 7 = 7 (need 25)
$0: 12
Even if we did some kind of tricky math ...

I will play at Level A ($300) or any other level that we get to send someone to the WSOP. Christine would play at the $100 level.

This is the first annual WSOP Tournament where we send the winner to Las Vegas to play in the $1500 WSOP Event #3 (No Limit Hold'em)
So far, interest has been high with some players and not so much with others. I need to determine the real interest in the RAWSOP for 2008, I need to know how many people are really interested in ...
