Player of the Year Championship Rankings

Members of the Ragged Aces earn points during the year toward our championship game in July. The points earned are used to purchase the starting chips for the championship game with the best 10 games counted for the member each year.

Starting chips are calculated based on accumulated points from tournament to tournament and the average place of a player through all tournaments played adjusted for the number of tournaments they have played. The starting chip value is thus the measure of a players standing against everyone in our league this season and will be the starting value of chips they will get when championship play begins.

The minimum stack a player will start with in the championship game is 3000 chips. Only the top 28 players will qualify for the championship game.

The leader board also tracks bounties and the year over year improvement a player has made which will be used as part of the decision process on "most improved" player. Last year's champion, player of the year, most improved player, and bounty hunter of the year have their names highlighted with a colored "*" in the list.
