The Tulalip Casino is hosting WSOP Satellites

I was thinking of going to the Tulalip on March 25th to play in the WSOP satellite $150 buy-in game.  Anyone interested in joining me?  Might be fun, and one of us might win a seat at the WSOP!

It looks like they also have WSOP satellite games every Saturday for $90.  We could even try one of those at some point too...Anyone?

Re: The Tulalip Casino is hosting WSOP Satellites

I just sent out an email to everyone regarding this tournament:

Basically, it is a World Series of Poker satellite with a $150 buy-in, top 15 places paid with 1st place winning $10,000 guaranteed (the buy-in for the WSOP).  It starts at 11am on Sunday (March 25th).  Post a message on the above thread if you are planning on going and we could either car-pool or meet at the Tulalip at 10am…I think it will be a learning experience and could be a lot of fun.  I’ve never played in a tournament like this before so I’m not sure what to expect.

I'm planning on going...wish me luck!

Good Luck!!! Wish you all the best...

Play slow and steady... Expect tons of donkeys & remember that face cards aren't always the best to race with early blind levels. Play like you normally play and you'll be great!

Wish I could've been there... Maybe we'll do one of the $90 buy-ins coming up after I get a paycheck? *smiles*

Well...I wussed out Stick out tongue

I was feeling a bit anxious about putting up $150 in a tournament structure I had never played before.  I've been on a down game this month (though I'm finally turning it around).  And since nobody else was going to go...I decided to blow this one off *shrug*.

I need to build a bigger bank roll so $150 isn't a seventh of it (a month ago it was a tenth).  There is a WSOP last chance tournament at the end of April.  Perhaps that is the one I will shoot for.

I could also go for one of the $90 tournaments between now and then, so I can get a feel for the game...I'm definitely feeling like 2008 is the year I'll go to the WSOP over 2007 though.

you should have gone just to follow one table from the sidelines, get a feel for the game/setup that way. :)

That's not a bad idea, except for the fact it's a pretty long drive up there Hmm

I honestly would have gone had I not been on such a bad streak of late.  Just don't want to be in a bad frame of mind when laying down a big chunk of my poker bankroll.
