The Ragged Aces are a group of poker players based in Redmond, WA, USA. We schedule a night of tournament style No Limit Texas Hold'em at least once a month. More of a social league then anything else, most of our players had very little exposure to the game before we began playing as a group in January, 2005. The cornerstone to forming the group was finding a great way to spend an evening having fun for the bargan price of only $20. And if you win, all the better.
Our group has grown from about 9 interested players in the beginning to an expanding list of 70 players today of which 20 are fairly regular players.
The structure of our tournaments allow for a maximum of 25 players on three tables though we have reached that number only once in the last two years. We have also started expanding the number of games we play from once a month to two or even three times a month as other "Aces" begin to host tournaments.
