Snow, snow, snow. By the time we were ready to start the 11th tournament this year, we had a good 12 inches of snow at my place and we were down to 6 players. Jordan and Tyler made the trek up from Renton to play with Allan, Christine, John and I. Tyler had a great run of cards and played a masterful game as he took down the win, beating Clark heads-up with a 63 after flopping two pair and making a boat by the river. By taking first place, Tyler flip-flopped the top spot with Clark in the PoY standings with a slim 1 point lead.
Tyler and Jordan stuck around to play a cash game until around midnight and Tyler continued his winning ways as it was his night. I have updated the standings, the Roster of Aces, and the top 10 charts for the last 5 games. Congratulations to Tyler, with this win he has become our 18th ace and has moved into the 15th spot on the roster. With 3 black chips this season, he is on track to break the record of 4 wins in a season set by Clark in 2006.
I know that everyone is probably focused on the holidays right now and the snow (we ended up with around 20 inches) but we have our second annual HORSE tournament coming up on New Year’s Day. I have updated the HORSE Tournament page with the blind structure and timing. I have lengthened the blinds to give lots of play so we are starting this tournament at 1pm. I’m sure there will be a cash game during the day as well, so plan to play for the duration and watch the NFL on the big screen.

The Heads-up tournament will be held on January 31st and will start at 3pm. I will continue to update the brackets with the current standings and fill in the players that will be playing for sure. In the bracket image, the players highlighted in yellow are players I’m not sure if they will be playing. Those in white I believe will be there.

The HORSE tournament has a $20 buy-in and starts at 1pm sharp so try to arrive around 12:30pm.
