I hope everyone is having a nice 3 day weekend and that you are feeling as eager as I am for poker on Saturday.  Diana “Ms Piggy” took down the win in game #3 for her first chip of the year and moved into 1^st place in the season standing.  Andre “the Quiet Giant” joined the ranks of Aces with his fifth chip.   Three games are in the books and as we move into September we have the first Big Ace tournament of the year up next with a $50 buy-in and a bigger pay-day for the top three players.

Be sure to take a look at the current standings, we’ve only had a total of 15 players in the first three games so everything changes drastically with each game we play but the top 5 for the season so far are players that were not in the top 5 at the end of 2008.  Of course Nick, Darin, and Joe have yet to play in a tournament this season.  John in his first game has taken the lead in the Bounty Hunter and I’m expecting he will work to hold onto that one this year.  Something new on the site is the Top 10 Charts that track players as they move in and out of the top positions game by game.

Please check your calendars and let me know if you can host a game on November 1^st or December 6^th.  And while you’re at it, mark October 4^th for playing at Terry’s condo in Issaquah, New Years Eve for the HORSE tournament (now with a cool trophy to win), and February 7^th for the first annual HEADS-UP tournament (also with a cool trophy).

On Saturday, we will be playing game #4 as a Big Ace tournament at my place in Redmond Ridge.  This tournament has a $50 buy-in with a $50 re-buy or add-on.  Remember that Big Ace tournaments have more risk so they are worth more points in the standings.

At this time I have Diana “Ms Piggy”, Jordan, Tyler, Clark, Mike, “Bad Beat” John, Garrett, and Scott A. scheduled to play.  If you haven’t played yet this year, this would be a good first tournament to grab an extra 20 points (Joe, Nick, Rich, etc., you know who you are J).

Let me know as soon as you can if you will be playing so I can prepare all the stuff…
